4th of July Parade in Chester, CA

Polaris UTVs in the 4th of July Parade

Chester, CA (July 8, 2010) – The crowds cheered as the “Off-Road Patriots” rolled down Main Street in Chester, California with red, white and blue Polaris UTVs.  The vehicles were colorfully decorated with flags, streamers and bows.  Patriotic songs blasted from the SSV Works stereo and candy was tossed to the children.  Over fifty pounds of candy was thrown, yet the bags were empty before  the parade route was finished.

The day was quite warm with temperatures hovering around 90 degrees, so water blasters were an essential part of the festivities.  Those who wished to get wet were definitely targeted and unfortunately, a few who didn’t got wet too.

The Off-Road Patriots’ decorations, music, and enthusiasm paid off with a first place ribbon in the group category.

Participating in the Chester 4th of July Parade was an amazing experience for the Off-Road Patriots.  Not only did they feel the energy from thousands of people celebrating our country’s Independence Day, but they were also able to showcase three Polaris UTVs, including an electric-powered  Polaris RANGER EV and the sporty RZR S.

Please note: The Off-Road Patriots were traveling at a very slow rate of speed (less than 5 MPH) on a closed parade route. Otherwise they would always have our seat belts on, helmets on and no one in the back.

In addition to the annual 4th of July parade, the Plumas National Forest boasts 83 routes and 2,600 miles trails for off-road vehicles.

Lake Almanor is one of the state’s largest man-made lakes in northern California, with 52 miles of shoreline, year-round fishing, and majestic views of Mt. Lassen.  More information on Lake Almanor and the annual 4th of July parade in Chester can be found at: www.lakealmanorarea.com
