TORC Welcomes Return of Cooper Tire as Official Series Partner for 2014 Season

TORC - Cooper TiresDana Point, Calif. – Jan. 17, 2014 – TORC: The Off-Road Championship, the nation’s premiere short-course, off-road racing series, has announced that Cooper Tire is returning as an Official Series Partner for the 2014 TORC season.

“We have a long and proud history in motorsports that spans Indy Light Series, ProMazda, USF2000 and IMSA Prototype Lites,” said Chris Pantani, Director of UHP Marketing for Cooper Tire. “The TORC series adds a fantastic dimension to that effort with high-speed, off-road excitement and nationwide venues. We’re very pleased to be an Official Series Partner again this year, as well as a commitment to activate our brand at the largest short-course, off-road racing events in the country thanks to TORC.”

As an Official Series Partner, Cooper Tire will engage with TORC’s national fan base through an array of television, radio, print, digital and social media exposure. In addition, the company will continue its strong and energetic on-site presence at TORC events with the impressive Cooper Tire motorsports display.

TORC: The Off-Road Championship will hold seven events across the United States this year, with NBC Sports providing television coverage and a behind-the-scenes docu-reality series. The 2014 event schedule features races at the following venues:

  • April 5-6: Primm, NV (Primm Off Road Raceway)
  • April 25-26: Charlotte, NC (Charlotte Motor Speedway)
  • May 17-18: St. Louis, MO (Gateway Motorsports Park)
  • June 28-29: Crandon, WI (Crandon Int’l Off Road Raceway)
  • July 19-20: Bark River, MI (Bark River Off Road Raceway)
  • Aug 5-6: Sturgis, SD (Buffalo Chip Powersports Complex)
  • Aug 30-31: Crandon, WI (Crandon Int’l Off Road Raceway)
