Custom Splice And Ape Eater Racing Team Up

| September 7, 2012

CustomSplice(Sept 6 2012) Ape Eater Racing and Custom Splice are proud to announce a new and expanded racing partnership!

The relationship between AER and Custom Splice began in 2012 when driver Aaron Peters competed in the King Of The Hammers UTV race in the Custom Splice-built RZR. Custom Splice is a family-owned business specializing in off-road recovery equipment with a focus on custom-lengths of Amsteel synthetic winch rope.

Todd Stauffer created Custom Splice in 2005 with his wife, Erin, and continues to move toward establishing himself as a staple of the off-road world. With a focus on safety, Custom Splice provides multiple diameters of AmSteel synthetic rope and kinetic recovery ropes.

Ape Eater Racing has competed in two races so far in its inaugural season taking 7th place (out of 15) in the first event in Altus, OK. After learning from the first two races, AER has made several modifications to the steering and suspension in order to safely increase speeds in the roughest of conditions and move forward as a serious competitor.

Aaron will be searching for a qualifying spot in the 2013 King of the Hammers by competing at the American Rocksports Challenge in Tooele, UT in late September. To complete the race year, the team will be competing in the Dirt Riot Nationals in Bridgeport, TX in October.
